The beaches are quiet and sandy, with a backdrop of grassy hills and cliffs. Close to the apartments is a small holiday park where you can eat at the restaurant.
There is plenty to do in this area, a visit to Saltburn where you can experience a ride on the Cliff Lift which is one of the world’s oldest water-powered railways or visit the Saltburn Miniature Railway which is a 15 in (381 mm) gauge railway, a must for railway enthusiasts.
If you prefer splashing about in the sea then the coastline holds national surfing events during the autumn and winter months, attracting competitors from all corners of England, Scotland and Wales.

You can’t stay in this area without a visit to Iconic Whitby with its beaches, piers, restaurants and cafes, the Cistercian abbey said to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” and a favourite with the Goth community.
